Regular Public Offerings

We offer these and other interactive webinars at least once a year.  These offerings are open to the public.  These are also good introductory offerings for our ongoing Communities of Practice.

Resisting Antisemitism and Christian Dominance in Christian Communities
Learn the basics of how antisemitism and Christian dominance show up in Christian faith spaces, and cultivate practices and strategies for building Christian faith communities that resist these oppressive ideologies and systems.

The Role of White Christians in Multireligious, Multiracial Movements Resisting Christian Zionism, Antisemitism, and Islamophobia
This offering is for white Christians and other allies to deepen their historical and political analysis as we meet this movement moment for a free Palestine with commitment and courage, with a focus on dismantling Christian Zionism. Christian Zionism is (and always has been) one of the primary lobbying forces behind U.S. support for the state of Israel, and is an expression of Christian imperialism, nationalism, and colonization. What is the unique work of white Christians – both internally and externally – as we join movements that resist antisemitism and Islamophobia? How can white Christians adopt a posture of humble solidarity instead of white saviorism as we labor for Palestinian liberation?

Understanding Authoritarianism and the Christian Right Today
What is the connection between authoritarianism, Christian nationalism, and the Far Right’s organizing? What do we need to understand about these interlocking movements in order to be equipped to resist them? Our team will map the inextricable connections between these oppressive movements and resource you and your community to resist them as you work to build a world where everyone has what they need to thrive.

An Ecology of Community Safety
How can congregations build an ecology of community safety that is rooted in care, investing in each other, believing in each other, and trusting each other and the rhythms and cycles around/within us?  What community safety practices can we engage in now that also help us build the world we long for?  Our experienced trainers will expand on our “Ecology of Community Safety” guide to offer practical skills, psycho-social care practices, planning tools, and analysis of current conditions, all towards practicing new ways of creating safety within our own congregational contexts.  This webinar serves as an introduction to our Building Congregational Community safety work.

Showing Up 101: Solidarity vs. Saviorism
How can white Christians participate in organizing and movement spaces in ways that are rooted in solidarity and shared interest?  We explore how saviorism in white Christian culture shows up in organizing and movement  spaces, and offer tools and practices for moving into a solidarity mindset and an understanding of material, cultural, and spiritual shared interest.
